The issue, designed by Gyula Laslo Vasarhelyi & Victor Whiteley and printed by Walsall Security Printers, commemorates the World Cup in England. It was printed using Offset Lithography on Foil paper with a perforation of 13.5 X 13.5.

It has been ruled by Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi since 1972.
